Ilford Town Ward Joint Partnership PatrolDate: 04/08/2026 PCSOs Majid Sethi and Abrar Khan conducted joint high-visibility patrols alongside the Redbridge Council Community Taskforce Team within Ilford Town Ward. The patrols focused on key locations including St Mary's Church, Buckingham Cemetery, and the Francis Avenue alleyway, which form part of the ward's identified priorities in response to ongoing concerns around anti-social behaviour (ASB), rough sleeping, and environmental issues. During the patrol, several rough sleepers were engaged with and spoken to. Their details and welfare concerns were gathered and subsequently referred to the appropriate outreach services to ensure they are offered support and assistance in accessing relevant accommodation and support pathways. The patrol also addressed incidents of anti-social behaviour within the area, resulting in a number of ASB warning tickets being issued where appropriate. Officers and partner agency staff provided reassurance to local residents and businesses through continued high-visibility presence and proactive engagement. This partnership activity demonstrates the ongoing commitment of the Metropolitan Police and Redbridge Council to tackling local concerns, safeguarding vulnerable individuals, and improving the quality of life for residents within Ilford Town Ward. | ||
